The "Old Man" in Crater Lake.

Cheney took this photo of a log that floats upright in Crater Lake. She said it is called the "Old Man." At least, I think that is what she said about it. In any case, the log is quite a sight and it certainly is unusual. Cheney spent several days camping in and around Crater Lake with her school mates a week or so ago.

The rose bush that Cheney mentioned grows under the window at the front of our house. Here's a photo of the bush with some late summer blossoms.

On a recent visit to LaPine to see Cheney, she mentioned the rose bush in front of our house. When I got home I took a picture of it to be able to take a print to her on our next visit. Here is her rose.
